Permission Granted
for New Business Park on M1 Friday 3rd October 2008. Fingal County Council has granted planning permission for a new ten hectare Business Park strategically located on the M1 motorway, (Belfast / Dublin) South of Balbriggan. Treasury Holdings, one of Ireland’s largest and most successful private property companies, will invest €50m in the development. Based on the main economic corridor between Dublin and Belfast, the development will offer a convenient location with easy access to the M1 motorway. It will also provide rapid access to Dublin City, Dublin Airport and Drogheda and Dublin Ports, the two main ports on the eastern seaboard. Mark Pollard Director of Development, Treasury Holdings said, “Competition in Irish business is now more important than ever and the ease with which companies can move between this business park, Dublin city and the main ports is vital. Notwithstanding the difficult economic environment we believe this is an important investment for the company in a strategic location.” “This development with its flexibility and accessibility will be sure to attract a range of occupiers such as light industrial manufacturers, wholesalers, warehousing and storage companies,” he concluded. The development situated at Courtlough, Rowan’s Road, Balbriggan will offer warehousing and distribution development, including ancillary offices and staff facilities totalling 36190.9 sq.m. It will comprise of up to 12 units, in individual buildings, ranging in size between 1,027 and 5,786 sq.m. A total of 533 car parking spaces will be included in the development. Larger buildings can be accommodated on adjacent zoned lands. Quoting rents are between €9 and €11 per sq ft depending on size and specification.
