DUBLIN AIRPORT
Dublin Airport is just 10 minutes drive
from M1 Business Park. Through 16 consecutive years of growth,
passenger numbers surpassed 23 million in 2007. An additional
42 new routes or services were launched in 2007. Dublin Airport
now has a total of 89 airlines operating services to 198 airports
in 35 countries around the world. It is among the 10 busiest
airports in Europe for international traffic, managing an average
of 60,000 passengers and more than 600 aircraft movements every
day. The much anticipated opening of Terminal 2 in April 2010
will allow Dublin Airport to handle up to 35 million passengers
per year – comfortably providing for 10 years of growth following
its delivery.
BREMORE DEEPWATER PORT
The proposed Bremore Ireland Port, to be located between Dublin
and Drogheda, is one of the most exciting infrastructure projects
set to be undertaken in Ireland in decades. A deep water port,
Bremore will have 24 hour access for the next generation of
container vessels. It will be entirely free of congestion,
with easy access to the M1, rail links and the future outer
orbital motorway.
METRO
Metro-North, 17 km in length, is expected
to carry some 34 million passengers a year once it is operational
and will allow passengers to travel quickly and easily from Dublin
Airport to Dublin City Centre in under 20 minutes. There will
be a park & ride
facility at Lissenhall just minutes from M1 Business Park.
It will interchange with existing Luas services at St. Stephen’s
Green and connect with the proposed rail inter connector.
OUTER ORBITAL MOTORWAY
The proposed new orbital motorway will run outside the M50 and
will extend to approximately 80 km, linking the M1 close to
Drogheda, through the N2 at Slane, the N3 at Navan, the N4
at Kilcock and the M7 at Kilcullen, close to the M7/M9 interchange.
